Dr. Andre Leaphart
Andre Leaphart is our Founder and Senior Pastor here at ART Church. He holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Speech and Drama, a Master’s of Divinity, and a Master’s of Education.
He is also an Activist, Educator, Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and Founder/Executive Director of Access Restoration Community Center. ARCC provides education, outreach, and resources for those in need within the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

Elder
Fawn Faulks
Fawn Faulks, a Virginia Beach native and Bayside High graduate, grew up in a disciplined military household that instilled her strong sense of service. She earned a Criminal Justice degree from ITT Technical Institute and retired as a Norfolk Sheriff’s Office Corporal after a career in public service. Leading the Straight Talk from the Heart program, she mentored troubled youth and championed outreach initiatives. A dedicated advocate for social justice, she made history as Hampton Roads Pride’s first African American Vice President and later President. She now serves on the board of Beauty for Ashes Contemporary School of Dance, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through the arts. Her favorite hobby is travelling to see the world and Favorite Scripture121:1-2, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Sheila Diane "Slim" Wyatt
Sheila Diane "Slim" Wyatt, the eldest of three, was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and raised in Hartsville, South Carolina. She studied Physical Education at Norfolk State University before building a diverse career. After a decade in the warehouse industry, she worked as a Material Handler at Norfolk Naval Shipyard for six years. Since 2011, she has served at the Norfolk Naval Base Commissary, where she supervises and advocates for individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusivity and career opportunities. Dedicated to empowerment, Sheila continues to champion meaningful employment and professional growth for the disabled community. Her favorite Hobby is playing Spades and her favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ which gives me strength.

Michelle L. Spencer-Selby
Michelle Spencer-Selby is an Army Veteran and dedicated professional serving as a Team Coordinator at Sentara Laboratory Services. With a strong foundation in leadership, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Leadership from Regent University and later pursued her MBA at Southern New Hampshire University. Beyond her professional achievements, Michelle finds joy in traveling, watching movies, and cherishing moments of peace at home. Guided by her faith, she holds Psalms 23 close to her heart: "The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need."

Dori R. Spencer-Selby
Dori Spencer-Selby is a passionate educator dedicated to supporting students as a Special Education teacher at Beth High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Norfolk State University and a Master of Education from Cambridge College. Dori finds joy in traveling and cherishing time with family. Her faith is a guiding force in her life, and she draws strength from Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
